VERTO: Empowering regional leaders through tailored leadership training

Building engagement with customised, scenario-based learning

VERTO’s journey with us began through a simple connection when they were searching for a training solution and came across our website. This initial contact led to a series of insightful meetings, allowing us to deeply understand their leadership and professional development aspirations and team dynamics of VERTO. Together, we crafted a program that seamlessly blended practical frameworks with real-world relevance for their regional locations.

The brief

VERTO sought an engaging and accessible leadership development experience for their regional leaders. In addition, they wanted a Situational Awareness workshop contextualised for their case officers and other personnel.  Our initial workshop series was delivered over two impactful days in Dubbo, with additional sessions planned for Ballina and Bathurst throughout the year.

The program

We designed a tailored two-day program for about 40 attendees, tailored to VERTO’s organisational context, leadership opportunities and challenges:

  • Day one: Focused on DISC profiling, leadership behaviours, time management, and effective delegation. Participants were highly engaged, particularly enjoying the DISC insights and interactive activities.
  • Day two: Concentrated on situational awareness and dealing with aggressive people. By collaborating closely with the VERTO team, we gathered relevant scenarios that were used in role plays and exercises, ensuring the content was both impactful and reflective of their real workplace experiences.

The response

Feedback from the VERTO team was overwhelmingly positive. They valued the tailored nature of the sessions, appreciating how their specific challenges and situations were woven into the program design. The success of the Dubbo workshop has already paved the way for future sessions in other regional locations, with workshop being delivered in Ballina during September and Bathurst workshops planned for December, with DISC and other leadership development topics on the agenda.  

One of the great aspects of the feedback received, was the ability of our facilitators to engage with the audiences, clearly explaining the theory and concepts while sharing real-world experiences.

We are excited to continue delivering exceptional leadership experiences, especially in  the Central West of NSW, which holds a special place in our hearts as Mark is originally from Orange!
