2 years ago, our focus was on delivering face to face workshops to ensure participants were engaged as we supported workshop theory with role plays, case studies and scenarios. Times have certainly changed, and although we maintain a commitment to face to face workshops, we have learnt to be adaptable and flexible, providing clients with online workshops as an option when there are restrictions in place. 
During January 2022, Leadership & Performance Partners delivered an online Leadership Workshop to the Emerging Professionals Network (EPN) whose members are working in a variety of positions with Victorian Government agencies. Due to the current COVID situation, the workshop was delivered online over 2 x 4 hour sessions.
The EPN’s focus is on connecting and developing young people starting on their careers in government with its Mission Statement being:
- Develop members through training and learning opportunities
- Connect emerging professionals across government
- Empower emerging professionals to become future leaders of the public service
The workshop covered a number of topics including:

- Aligning leadership behaviours with the Values; Vision and Mission of the organisation
- Identifying the requirements and behaviours of leaders including your own leadership brand
- Lewin’s Leadership Theory & Situational Leadership
- Communication skills required of leaders
- Personal & professional development
- The Stages of Team Performance (Tuckman’s Theory)
- Delegation and The Eisenhow Matrix
- Coaching and Mentoring including the GROW Model for Coaching
- Setting performance expectations
- Planning for and having performance discussions
- Work/Life Balance
