The Helping Hands Program is a transformative team building experience that blends professional development with a meaningful global impact.
Through hands-on collaboration, your team will develop critical skills such as communication, teamwork, decision-making, and problem-solving while building prosthetic hands for recipients in developing countries. These hands are donated to individuals affected by landmines, accidents or disabilities, empowering them to regain independence and hope.
This unique workshop inspires participants to connect, create, and contribute to a life-changing cause, leaving them energised, motivated, and aligned with your organisation’s values.
The Helping Hands Program stands out by combining skills development with an opportunity to make a real difference in the world.
Our Training Facilitators will work with you to create a solution that delivers meaningful results for your organisation. The program can be tailored to align with your organisation’s values, reinforcing the behaviours that drive team success and organisational growth.
In participating in this team building activity, your team will:
Collaborate effectively to build prosthetic hands that change lives.
Improve problem-solving and decision-making skills by navigating unique challenges.
Strengthen teamwork and communication as participants work closely in small groups.
Experience a renewed sense of purpose and motivation by contributing to a worthwhile cause.
Enhance your team’s skills and purpose with a hands-on activity that truly matters.
We aim to develop tailored programs that reflect your values and objectives to deliver engaging and interactive experiences that build trust, confidence and commitment among your team.
The Helping Hands program is designed to foster collaboration and creativity while leaving a lasting impact. The program involves:
1
Facilitation:
Our trained facilitator will guide participants through the program, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience.

2
Building:
Teams (usually of three) work together to assemble prosthetic hands from a bag of parts, challenging their problem-solving abilities. Participants are encouraged to use only one hand during the activity to deepen their connection with the cause.

3
Decoration and packaging:
Teams personalise the packaging for their prosthetic hand recipients, showcasing creativity and individuality.

4
Completion and debrief:
Participants reflect on the experience and celebrate their contributions with a group photo and an activity debrief.

Participants can be assured that all completed hands undergo rigorous testing before being delivered to recipients in need. This immersive program ensures that participants leave with new skills, stronger connections, and the satisfaction of knowing they’ve made a tangible difference.
The Helping Hands Program is a charity-focused team building experience where teams work together to build, assemble, or create something meaningful that is then donated to a community organisation in need. The shared purpose of contributing to something beyond the organisation creates powerful team bonds, generates genuine pride, and builds collaboration in a way that fun-focused activities alone often can’t achieve. It’s one of our most popular programs precisely because it combines team development with real community impact.
Activities can vary depending on your team size, location, and the community organisation we’re partnering with. Past programs have involved building children’s furniture for community centres, assembling care packages, creating sensory kits for schools, and other hands-on contributions. We’ll discuss the options with you and match the activity to something that will resonate with your team and your values.
The program is highly scalable. We’ve run it with small teams of 8 and with large groups of over 100 participants. For very large groups, we break participants into sub-teams, each contributing to a component of a larger project. The size of the group doesn’t diminish the experience – in fact, large-scale Helping Hands sessions often create a very powerful sense of collective achievement.
Yes – and many organisations actively choose to do this. If you have existing community partnerships or CSR commitments, we can design the program to benefit those specific organisations or causes. This alignment makes the experience even more meaningful for participants and reinforces the connection between your company’s values and the way your team shows up.
