Senior Leaders from Delta Electricity graduated on Tuesday 15th October after completing a 5 month Senior Leadership Program facilitated by Ross Grace from Leadership & Performance Partners.
The leaders represented different parts of Delta Electricity’s operations including Marketing, Logistics, Planning, Maintenance, Mining and Contract Management. The group were selected due to their potential to be Senior Leaders within the business.
Among the topics covered in the workshops were the following:
- Emotional Intelligence
- Leadership Capabilities
- Advanced Communication for Leaders
- Effective Performance Management
- Dealing with Conflict
- Understanding Team Dynamics
The delivery involved 4 hour intensive and interactive workshops focusing on developing skills to be implemented back in the workplace. Some of the learning strategies were:
- Role Plays (Coaching / Mentoring/ Conflict/Performance Management)
- Workplace Case Studies
- Workplace projects
- 360-degree feedback (LSI1 & 2)
To support the learning from the workshop delivery, Leadership & Performance Partners conducted a number of one on one coaching sessions to assist the participants to develop strategies and tools to be implemented in the workplace.
The Program concluded with the following activities:
- Group members worked in teams and identified a ‘Business Improvement Idea’ and developed a business case that was presented to the Chief Executive.
- Participants completing a Post LSI1 to compare and identify performance improvements.
- Graduation Ceremony.
Leadership & Performance Partners were impressed with the quality of these leaders and the support that Delta Electricity Senior Management and HR Department provided to the participants to achieve outstanding results.
