Emotional Intelligence Workshop 24th January 2020

Leadership & Performance Partners are conducting an Emotional Intelligence Workshop on Friday 24th January 2020.  The workshop will be held at the Mercure Hotel, 109 Madison Drive, Charlestown (Newcastle).

This workshop will improve your capacity to be self-aware and manage your emotions and become attuned to your own needs as well as that of others both at home and work. You will make better decisions and develop stronger relationships with staff, stakeholders, networks and fellow team members.

This is a one-Day Training Program (7 hours plus meal breaks). Cost is $410 per person which includes Participant Guide; LSI1 Assessment; Certificate of Attendance and catering (morning tea and lunch).

Our workshops are highly interactive requiring participants to complete individual activities; group scenarios and role plays. Workshop Outline

  •  The principles and theory of emotional intelligence and how it can benefit organisational outcomes and your leadership capabilities.
  • The effects of emotion on behaviour, in both a negative and positive way.
  • How emotional intelligence is closely connected to effective communication and the ability to influence and negotiate with others.
  • Completion of Life Styles Inventory 1 (LSI1), a highly validated tool that is used to identify your thinking styles and provide insight into how your thinking may affect your behaviour, communication and decision making.
  • Using SWOT to identify your own strengths and areas of improvement.
  • Understanding your hot triggers i.e. the behaviours and values of others that can cause you to become frustrated and negatively affect workplace relationships.
  • Becoming self-aware using DISC, an interactive activity designed to help you better understand your strengths in workplace behaviours. This will help you understand how you are perceived in negative aspects as well as identify ways you can adapt your communication and leadership style to get the best from team members and during interactions with others.
  • How to use emotional intelligence to deal with difficult situations such as performance management and conflict.
  • Resilience strategies that will help you better improve stress management for an effective work/life balance.
