Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)
This two-day Standard Mental Health First Aid course teaches people how to offer initial support to people who are developing a mental health problem, have a worsening mental health condition or are in a mental health crisis. The course provides the skills and strategies needed until the appropriate professional help is received or the crisis is resolved. Over the course of two days, you will be empowered with the ability to recognise and respond to the signs of common mental health conditions and the confidence needed to assist a friend, colleague or family member in need.
Accrediting staff with a MHFA certificate is an effective way businesses can reduce their risk under workplace health and safety legislation and reduce workers compensation liability.
The Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course is based on the international MHFA Guidelines. These guidelines were developed using consensus of mental health consumers, carers and professionals from English-speaking developed countries. Participants are eligible to become an accredited Mental Health First Aider.
This is a 12-hour (two-day) course. The delivery format is flexible.
This course is invaluable for workplace peer support and human resources employees.

We believe that a capped attendance allows us to provide our attendees with the most valuable experience. This creates the best learning setting that allows us to go through relevant case studies and answer any questions you might have. Our goal is to provide the tools and understandings you need to take what you’ve learnt and deliver it in the workplace, and we believe a more personalised and smaller workshop setting best achieves that.
